Join the Baseball HQ team in 2009!
Baseball HQ is the industry leader in premium baseball analysis for those who participate in fantasy games. Becoming an HQ contributor is highly regarded in the industry, and we have become a terrific proving ground for top talent. Present and former contributors have gone on to write for organizations such as ESPN, USA TODAY Sports Weekly, STATS Inc., Street & Smith's Baseball and the Baseball Prospectus, and were among those selected to participate in the St. Louis Cardinals Advisory Board in 2004.
GENERAL INFORMATION
You need not have formal, professional experience as a published writer or data analyst, but you must have proven aptitude, a solid understanding of your topic, and be able to make a commitment to whatever role you are hired for.
All writing/analysis positions require:
- a minimum of five years experience participating in fantasy leagues, or
- a minimum of five years experience writing about baseball analysis, or
- a minimum of two years as a subscriber to either BaseballHQ.com or the Baseball Forecaster
This is a paid position. The compensation will depend upon the extent of your contribution.
In addition to the compensation for the position, all contributors receive the following:
- Free access to BaseballHQ.com during their contract term
- Free access to RotoHQ.com during their contract term
- Free copy of the 2009 Baseball Forecaster
- Free registration to all First Pitch Forums (Includes all forum sites except Arizona. Contributors must have at least one year's tenure to qualify for free registration to First Pitch Arizona.)
- A variety of benefits from being associated with Baseball HQ, including invitations to participate in national experts leagues, writing opportunities with other major media, speaking engagements at public events, etc.
All staff members also receive a copy of the Baseball HQ Editorial Handbook, which spells out our writing guidelines, style conventions, deadlines, etc. Writers are expected to abide by this information.
