The Nationals removed Joel Hanrahan (RHP, WAS) from the closer's role and will use Julian Tavarez (RHP, WAS) and Kip Wells (RHP, WAS) in save situations for now. Joe Beimel (LHP, WAS) is expected to take over as the closer once he's off the DL.
