Baseball Forecaster Secret Message

If you are reading this right now, you likely fall into one of two groups: a) owners of the 2008 Baseball Forecaster who read the Acknowledgments page, or b) random Baseball HQ browsers who saw this link called "Dye" and wondered what the heck it was (without consideration, it appears, that it might lead to some dark, virus-infected path to destruction).
For those in Group B, there was a "secret" message in my book that, when deciphered (a difficult task for the truly ambitious, or truly bored) read: "On January 25, February 22 and March 21, there will be a link on Baseball HQ with the name of a player from page 75 containing an important message about the future." As you have already figured out, that player on page 75 is Jermaine Dye. For today, anyway. It was someone else the last two months.
For those of you who were disappointed by the "important message about the future" in January and February, believe me, there was nobody more disappointed than I. Back when the Forecaster was put to bed last fall, it seemed imminent that I could make this announcement. But as I noted, the wheels of progress turn slower than we often like.
Sadly, one more month has still not changed the situation, however, we are making steady progress. The announcement could come within the next few weeks. As such, I am going to leave this link active for as long as it takes. When I have something to announce, the name of the player will change once again.
I don't blame you if you're exasperated by all this. I am too, truly. But change is definitely coming. It is in the wind; it is a warm wind. With spring, there is rebirth, and it's all going to be good.
